President & CEO gives expert advice to student loan borrowers

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union President & CEO Dion Williams was a featured financial expert on FOX8 Morning News WGHP this morning, discussing an important topic that affects millions of individuals: Student loan borrowers. With interest payments set to resume on October 1, 2023, after a three-year hiatus due to COVID, Dion gave expert advice on what student loan borrowers should be doing to prepare for this upcoming change.

"Communication is everything," Dion responded when asked what should individuals do if they're struggling to restart their loan payments. Dion said these individuals should contact their student loan servicer as these loan payments aren't going away if ignored. "There are income adjusted repayment plans that can be made and maybe forgiveness in some instances," he said.
