'Tis the Season to Be the Difference

Knowing you can make someone’s world a little brighter makes the holiday season even more magical. This year, the PACU Foundation’s Fourth Annual Holiday Giving Campaign invites you to be a part of that magic.

Your gift can mean many things. It can mean a single mom in the Triad finds her footing thanks to financial literacy classes. It can mean a first responder’s widow in Charlotte receives support after losing her partner in the line of duty. It can mean a worker who lost his home during a hurricane has the resources to put food on the table.

This is the power of community and cooperative efforts.

Since 2020, the PACU Foundation has been driven by the belief that together, we can foster strong and sustainable financial health in the Triad and Charlotte regions.

“The Foundation came about from the desire to expand Piedmont Advantage Credit Union’s capacity to help the communities it is privileged to serve,” said Jean Golden-Rumer, President of the PACU Foundation.

Last year, we put service into action by donating to A Storehouse for Jesus, Community Link, Financial Pathways of the Piedmont, the Gold Shield Foundation of North Carolina, Help, Incorporated and the Christian Mission.

This is where you come in. Donate to the PACU Foundation this holiday season to be a part of this growing story.

With a gift of $10 or more, you will receive a commemorative holiday ornament as a thank-you for your generosity. But the real gift is what your contribution brings to one of your neighbors who may be struggling.

On Giving Tuesday, December 3, the PACU Foundation will announce this year’s local organizations and charities receiving awards for 2024, bringing the Foundation’s gifting total to $100,000.

By donating to the PACU Foundation this Annual Giving Season, you will be directly contributing to the well-being of your neighborhood through the admirable programs these organizations implement.
