Meet Al Pacu

Al Pacu is the official PACU Youth Program mascot. With his love for aviation, it was only natural for him to join Piedmont Advantage Credit Union. And, he has a story, one worth telling.

As a baby alpaca, Al heard many stories from his Grandma Pacu about a magical place, called Pacuville, where rainbows glittered, clouds danced, stars twinkled and the moon smiled.

Al dreamed of one day finding Pacuville. One afternoon, as he was playing with the other farm animals, he saw something that caught his attention in the sky. It was an airplane.

Al thought to himself, “If I could only fly, I would surely find Pacuville.”

When he told Grandma Pacu of his plan, she gave him a big hug and said, “Get ready for the most rewarding adventure.”

In preparation, Grandma Pacu advised Al to follow these six golden rules:

  1. Be kind to yourself and others.
  2. Always try your best. If you fall short, keep going.
  3. Before you play, know the rules of the game.
  4. Do not be afraid to ask questions or for directions.
  5. Know and control where your money goes.
  6. Always invest in your future self.

Al let her advice guide him every day. He worked hard to get his pilot’s license and set out on his great adventure to find Pacuville. Along the way, he visits with his pals at Piedmont Advantage Credit Union at various youth activities and special events.
